Christ and the Inauguration

It has struck me how much Christ (or at least, religion) is part of the inauguration:

• This morning Obama and Biden started the day with a service at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral
• The invocation prayer by Rick Warren
• The oath was taken over Abraham Lincoln’s inaugural Bible.
• Obama finished the oath by requesting: “So help me God“
• The benediction prayer by Joseph Lowery

I am sure there is much more.
