Twittering Christ

Lately Twittering has become an obsession of mine. Today I came across an article from Church Marketing Sucks describing a church integrating Twitter into their Good Friday celebration.

This is a 21st century example of Christ Above Culture. The church is using something from popular culture to promote Christ.

While it is great to see a church think about how it can engage its culture, the danger of the Christ Above Culture perspective is becoming kitchy and cliche once the latest fad becomes out of date.
