I don’t know what the big deal is- I did this when trying to start a church in Myrtle Beach- but here’s a Yahoo! News story about a church starting a new service in a bar. This is similar to what a Charlotte church did a couple months ago when they started giving out free shot glasses to promote their church.
When people use parts of culture to promote Christ, it is an example of Christ Above Culture.

I am using this blog to expand on a couple of ideas that have been running through my head. I find myself spending time thinking about how things relate to two basic topics: our justification by faith in Christ and now this faith influences how we interact with our culture.
